Location
North Weald Airfield is situated alongside the M11 motorway at junction
7 (Harlow).
Exit M11 at junction 7 and at roundabout take A414 signposted Chelmsford.
Venue is well signposted from next roundabout on A414.
Trade
If you are considering taking trade space at Volksfest, please consider
the following.
Whilst the greatest number of visitors are from London and the home counties,
many diehard vw enthusiasts travel a considerably greater distance to attend
the show. The location is ideal, and the one-day format has proven highly
successful too.
We hope that whilst limiting trader numbers to 'viable' levels,
the trade element of the show is a major part of it's success. For this reason
we are continuing to offer half price trade stands for everyone booking for
VW Action at the same time.
The event will be marketed in Volksworld, the Golf etc., and in addition
a significant sector of the M11 corridor from London out to beyond Cambridge
will be targeted for a local advertising campaign. Last years' event was well
received by the public and trade, but we have no intention of resting on our
laurels. This year the show will be bigger and better, with more activity in the
Arena and more show car classes. The standard plot price at Volksfest will
be £80, discounted to £40 if Action is booked at the same time.

Show 'n' Shine
The Show 'N' Shine at VolksFest will continue with the top ten air/top ten
water format, with event judges, not self judging. A visitors choice and an
organisers choice trophy will be added this year.
We have in excess of 20 trophies to award, and we are very keen to see everyone
with a good looking car in the show and shine. Please don't be put off by
the idea of maybe not being good enough to win. There are a couple of trophies
which will be awarded by the judges which not be based on the quality of the
cars, so much as enthusiasm, originality, innovation etc.
Don't be shy! Enter on the day.
Clubs
Clubs wishing to book club plots should call 01865 863275 by special arrangement
there is limited camping overnight for clubs with members prepared to 'help
out' with the overnight preparation.
Please do not arrive on spec.
The general rule is no overnight camping. Volksfest is a one day show.
Displays
The most popular display of previous years has been the Terry
Grant Stunt show. Terry puts his legend racer through it's paces once again,
with unique stunts such as driving the car through successive 360 degree spins
whilst standing on the roof, and climbing out of one door and back in through
the other with the vehicle in motion.
Terry's antics really do have to be seen to be believed. His repertoire
of trick in the 350bhp TVR have had a further year of fine tuning, so expect
to be even more blown away this year, or to be standing in open mouthed disbelief
if you haven't seen Terry's show before.
Several racing VWs are due to make an appearance in the arena
for a burnout demonstration. The drivers will also be on hand to answer any
questions you may have about starting racing, or building performance VW engines.
They will be more than happy to provide photo opportunities for the kids to
be pictured with or in the cars.
Swapmeet
The Swapmeet at Volksfest is usually well worth a look, but get there soon
as you can,
as a knowledgeable audience usually sees all the bargains snapped up real
early.

An area of the site will be identified by signage as being the location
for all cars for sale.
If your car is for sale, seek this area out. (That's where everyone buying
will be looking!)
